Chocolate Tahitian Pearls

 In Collection, Trends

In 2006 the Chocolate Tahitian Pearl collection by Eugenio Lumbreras marked a significant change in Spanish Fine Jewelry, as it had more than 20 jewelry pieces with pearls cultivated in the French Polynesia. A trend that has resurfaced again becoming an authentic bijoux treasure of the Pacific Ocean.

The Chocolate Tahitian Pearls fall into the group of Tahitian pearls. They are grown in the sea and are pearls with a nucleus that has been grafted next to a piece of epithelium of another mollusk of the same species.

WHAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE

“Due to their origin, color and texture it is very complicated to find this kind of pearls. They are grown in the sea in an oyster called Pinctada Margaritifera. Within the Chocolate Tahitian pearls there are too many tones and it is very difficult to match their color and texture. In this collection, following our leit motiv of craftsmanship and savoir faire, each one of the pearls was selected by us and its success came when we decided to accompany this type of pearls with rose gold and diamonds “, says the jeweler Eugenio Lumbreras.
